Internship - Study Texas Minimize

Study Texas is a group of educational organizations in the state of Texas, whose broad purpose is to connect international students and professionals with quality education and training in the state of Texas.   It was created to enable schools in the State of Texas to work together to market the advantages of receiving an education in Texas.  With the support of the United States Department of Commerce’s, Commercial Service, the originating schools incorporated the group earlier this year, and are now in the process of marketing its existence and its website worldwide.  The group will begin a marketing campaign for new members later this Fall with the hopes of doubling membership by Spring.

The group’s website is www.studytexas.us.  This website will serve as a portal where international students and foreign educational institutions can find information about why Texas is an ideal choice for higher education, links to information on obtaining visas, information on member institutions’ education programs and curricula and various upcoming events of the coalition.   Not only did foreign students contribute over a $1 billion to the state’s economy last year, international students expanded cultural diversity on their campuses.  As such, it is important to foster the development of efforts such as ours, which not only contribute to the state economically, but also contribute to state’s diversity and culture.
