According to the AP Business Writer article by Joe Mcdonald, China swept past Germany as the top exporter in 2009.  China's exports totaled more than $1.2 trillion.  This recent news is just more evidence that supports the fact that China is on the rise as an industrial power.

It is important to note that although China had the largest amount of exports as a country, it did not have the largest exports per person.  However, we must still keep our eyes on China as they continue to grow.
